#BringBackTheSecretCircle – A ‘Secret Circle’ Campaign

Posted by Lauren on May 13,2012. 3 Comments

Is a fan led campaign that was started in April of 2012 to encourage a season 2 renewal of The Secret Circle on The CW
Network. TSC aired on The CW from September 15th, 2011 to May 10th, 2012 and was officially canceled on May 11th, 2012.

Upon news of TSC’s cancellation, Save The Circle quickly switched gears and became a campaign aimed at bringing the freshman series back to television. Through petitions, mailing campaigns, a fan-image gallery, and various other “missions,” Save The Circle seeks to provethere is still a strong following for the series, a solid demo market for advertisers, and a place for it on either network or cable television.

ChanceHarbor.com has been working closely with @savethecircle in order to bring “Save The Secret Circle” to fruition. Checkout the official site here to see what we’ve started with. You can find links to petitions we’d all like you to sign, Network Info, and what we think would be an incredible first mission to let The CW know that there is a strong and supportive fanbase for The Secret Circle. Remember, we are still in the beginning stages but once we have the support of all you other fans we plan to campaign with full force.

The CW Cancels ‘The Secret Circle’

Posted by Lauren on May 11,2012. 2 Comments

Although originally believed to be renewed, various media outlets including TV Line are reporting that The Secret Circle has officially been cancelled. This is a very sad day. Although it started out slightly shaky; I’m sure you’d all agree that after the most recent episodes including last night’s especially, a second season sounded and looked very promising.

Zap2it: What we “could” expect from ‘Secret Circle’ season 2

Posted by Lauren on May 11,2012. No Comments

Since the renewal of The Secret Circle is still undetermined, this interview with Andrew Miller is categorized in the “possibility realm”. Although there hasn’t been a definite yes or no, we are all holding out hope that The CW will give Secret Circle the second season it deserves. Remember: Episode purchases, CWTV streams, and GetGlue check-ins help show that there is a strong fandom for The Secret Circle.

We’ll find out for sure in just a few days, when The CW announces their Fall schedule, but in the meantime, we wrestled as much information as we could from Miller, so here are 5 things to expect from Season 2.

1. Faye will discover that having her individual magic isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Phoebe Tonkin asked Miller to give Faye a “Matilda” moment in the finale, hence her champagne celebration with Melissa — but this is television, and the celebration can’t last too long. “Next year, The Circle will be completely fractured,” Miller says. “They know what it is to be bound, they’ve struggled through being connected to people when you don’t want to be, and this next people is about being apart and finding strength that way. Faye is going to very quickly run out of ‘Matilda’ moments, because it won’t be enough, especially with Cassie and Diana having so much more power than her.”

TV Fanatic: Andrew Millers talks ‘Secret Circle’ family, closure, & fall outs

Posted by Lauren on May 08,2012. No Comments

TV Fanatic has got an exclusive interview with Exec. Producer Andrew Miller. Among other things, Miller talks about Thursday night’s reveals and how they’ve been building up all season long.

Will we learn John Blackwell’s true intentions on the season finale?
The short answer is yes. We’ll find out exactly what he wants and why he came to Chance Harbor. It will be a strong enough case for Cassie, at least, to determine her future as a human being… but there’s a complexity to his character. We’re gonna let the audience decide for themselves what they think of Blackwell.

Was that complexity something you aimed for all season?
There should be that kind of ambiguity. From the beginning, when Cassie comes to Chance Harbor and then enters the Circle, she’s very innocent… she then goes through 22 episodes of craziness. And no one is all good or all bad. We tried to play that fine line with all the characters… to order up a hot pizza guy may be fun, but there’s something wrong and manipulating about that, too.
